Truck blast closes turnpike bridge near Peninsula
An 8000 to 9000 gallon diesel tank truck exploded on the eastbound Ohio Turnpike bridge over the Cuyahoga River in Peninsula delaying traffic for two to three months while engineers assess damage. Driver James Dichon and passenger James George escaped injury. 200 firefighters controlled the blaze in 90 minutes.
