Reports to the Navy radio station indicate Col and Mrs Charles A Lindbergh prepared to fly today from Petropavlovsk Siberia toward Japan. The St Paul Alaska station intercepted a message from the Japanese JOC saying the fliers were expected to depart shortly. Earlier Mrs Lindbergh radioed thanks for aid from the Navy station and noted the probable departure.

Berlin Aug 18 Captain Johannes Ratje and Otto Koehler, pilot and mechanic for Eur Asia Aviation, were sentenced by Mongolian authorities to five years in prison on espionage charges.
