Last Remnant of Cowboy Hill Fortune Now With Sheriff
In Toledo Ohio Aug 17 the remaining $2,109 from Cowboy Hill’s fortune, amassed during a crime career ending in the Ohio Penitentiary 14 years ago, was ordered turned over to the sheriff. The funds come from sale proceeds of Hill’s property to satisfy a judgment against him. Detective Stephen Quinn, wounded in the bandit case, was later awarded damages in 1924.
