Mrs Carrie Anderson and son Keith of Revenna visited Brighton families this week. The Brighton Sunday school picnic occurred Thursday at Cascade Park in Elyria. Several local families joined events around Lakewood and Maine. Ro bera Hendee, daughter of J D and M Hendee of Lodi, formerly Brighton residents, died suddenly, prompting sympathy from the community. Alma Hales and Edna Watters with Goldie Coats visited in Brighton. Norma Heidrick is improving at Oberlin hospital. The Bursley family and Weston relatives visited in Brighton. Mrs Grant Gifford and daughter Frances traveled to Lorain for a day of shopping while Mrs W H Wallace returned to Cleveland after visiting friends. The Rowell and Ward families held reunions in Camden and Oberlin with extended kin present. Local youths and residents visited Kent and Elyria Memorial Hospital saw tonsil operations and studies begun for Russia Township teaching posts. A P T A farewell for the Kelmers featured a floor lamp and thanks. neighbors hosted visits from Baltimore relatives and a Congregational church Ladies Society gathering.

Mrs P T Van Valkenburg hosted the M E Aid Society gathering with a good turnout. Mrs Mable Pierce led the program, guests included Mrs Harry Van Valkenburg and children and Mrs Clair Van Valkenburg and daughter from Elyria. Ice cream cake and wafers were served by several members. The group adjourned to meet at Mrs Lewis Ones. Mr and Mrs Erwin Eldred and daughters visited Lawrence Beits over Sunday.
