James Jim Lengyel 74 of Lorain died august 12 2021 at home on Perseid meteor shower day. Born July 25 1947 in Lorain to Alex and Olga Lengyel he pursued painting reading golf baseball outdoors music and more. Survived by sister Mary Kay Bierek brother Dave Lengyel friends Phil and Renee Dore and many relatives. cremation and a later life celebration per his wishes. Memorials to Friendship Animal Protective League. Norton-Eastman Funeral Home assisted.

Ellen Clark-Cotton, 80, lifelong Lorain resident, died February 8 2021 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a long illness. She was born November 4 1940 in Elyria to George and Gertrude Cotton and worked as a billing clerk for Dr Russell Berkebile & Associates until retirement in 2004. Survivors include three children two daughters and a son, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A memorial service is set for August 19 2021 at Cornerstone United Methodist Church Elyria with burial at Ridge Hill Cemetery Amherst Township and a luncheon at the church afterward.

Tyson Foods donated nearly 40000 pounds of meat to the Amherst area. Residents lined up in cars at Amherst Junior High School parking lot to receive more than 1200 cases of Wright Brand bacon Jimmy Dean sausage and Hillshire Farm lunchmeats from volunteers at the Amherst facility. George Priel in Tyson Chicken costume and Becky Fraley directed traffic and greeted arrivals during the giveaway. Boxes of Tyson Meats were handed to car riders as Paxton Shaw and Nicki Chamberlain delivered food.
