Oberlin man arrested in ex-girlfriend arson case
Anthony Walker, 35, of 359 S. Pleasant St., was arrested at 6 30 am on charges of aggravated arson and falsification in the May fire that damaged Karen Vickers 1311 Maine Ave home. Police say gasoline was used and Walker had harassed Vickers after eviction. He posted 15000 bond and faces a 11 am Thursday preliminary hearing.

Anti-drug funds awarded to Lorain and Erie Counties
The Governor's Office of Criminal Justice Services allocates 216566 dollars in federal Anti-Drug Abuse Funds to Lorain and Erie Counties. Lorain County receives 60556 for Lorain County Community College lab modernization, Juvenile Court Drug Intervention, and Major Drug Trafficking Force. Erie County funds 80410 to the prosecutor's ANTI Task Force for multi jurisdictional drug investigations.
