Berea Schools to Issue Notes for New Phone System
Berea City School District plans to issue 166000 in one year notes at 8.5 percent through National City Bank to fund a district wide telephone system. Cleveland Telecommunications Corp will install the system for 165994 with a 34440 service contract. Installation begins soon and will take several months.

Lorain man faces new drug charges after shooting incident
Jose Santiago 34 of 1645 E 29th St was arrested in South Lorain and charged with two counts of drug abuse and one count of possession of criminal tools. He pleaded innocent and awaits a Aug 21 preliminary hearing in Municipal Court.

Polaris Hikes Half-Time Tuition By $50 Increases
