St Jude Church at 590 Poplar St will host a peach and ice cream social on Aug 22 in the church pavilion from 3 to 6 pm featuring ice cream cake fresh peaches and beverages. A decorated bike parade assembles at Elyria Catholic High School at 1 30 pm with prizes for original humorous and Bicentennial themes. Proceeds go to the church general fund. Lorain County Banjo Band performs 4 to 5 pm and judging by Bear and Mrs Donald Pinkerton for details.
