Power outage cuts WVIZ off air for 35 minutes
WVIZ Channel 25 in Cleveland went off air for 35 minutes Friday night after a power outage killed the signal at the 2.7 million watt North Royalton transmitter. An engineer declined to be named and said crews were investigating the loss while announcer Rob Schuler noted no cause was evident. The outage interrupted Ghosts of 87 starring Cliff Robertson, a one man drama about ten men who helped shape the U S Constitution. The station returned to full power just before 10 p.m. and aired the next program in full.
