Indians fall as Yett holds on in New York
Rich Yett pitched four solid innings and kept the Indians in a 6-4 loss to the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Ken Schrom faltered early, surrendering homers to Rickey Henderson and Don Mattingly and leaving with bases loaded and the game tied in the third. Joe Niekro's wildness aided Cleveland's two early runs, but New York pulled away as Yett struggled with his fastball the night after a poor outing.
