Tenants settle with state on leasing profits at Lorain center
The state will take 25 percent of future leasing profits from the 300,000 square foot center. The goal is to fund demolition of a 100,000 square foot parking deck. Gilchrist says demolition may start in fall and finish next spring. South Shore owns the center and hires Ohio Realty Advisers to manage it. Stuart Lichter redeveloped multiple Ohio sites including Lorain’s Ford plant. The center hosts Lorain County Community College Satellite branch, Lorain Sports Hall of Fame, and local US Senator Sherrod Brown offices.
