Elyria council backs land lease for recreation field at fairgrounds
Elyria City Council votes 4 2 in favor of accepting a committee report recommending leasing about 11 acres of the former Lorain County Fairgrounds for a new city recreation field. Dissenters include James C. Scott and Frank Kayden whose opposition centers on zoning from residential to commercial use and potential property value impacts. Kayden also clarifies his stance despite support for a recreation field.
