Chestnut Commons road suit targets Elyria by developer
Dan Reaser owner of DBR Commercial Reality filed a suit against Elyria alleging breach of contract trespass and nuisance over the Chestnut Commons connector. He says construction caused flooding on his 60 acre property bought in 2018 and that stormwater ponds were placed on unusable Walmart land. The suit says the project degraded a planned 56 million development. Mayor Frank Whitfield declined to comment.
