Unofficial Lorain county counts show Carmi Thompson winning governor by a narrow margin in the county, with diverse outcomes for congress and county offices. The ballot features several unopposed nominations and a mix of incumbents and newcomers across the Republican and Democratic tickets.
The engineer of fast train No. 4 on the Missouri Pacific is blamed for a collision at Sulphur Springs Missouri. The rear end crash killed thirty and injured over fifty as the flyer plowed into the second train demolishing four coaches. Matthew W. Glenn navigated the fatal run with a long safety record.

Weiss of Cleveland brings suit for herself and other stockholders alleging the Goodyear financial reorganization is illegal in form and effect against public policy and that the return to those who effected the plan is illegal.
