Mill School levy on ballot in full
The Mill School board voted at its August meeting to ask Elyria voters to renew the three mill levy for school purposes. Officials warn of a looming $150,000 shortage next year due to tax limitation laws and reduced revenue from gasoline and intangible taxes. If the levy expires in November, the shortfall could exceed $250,000, prompting renewed voter consideration.
