Manin agent's killing shocks South Florida
A 65 year old man James Patrick Wonder was charged with first degree murder for the killing of customs agent Donald Pettit outside a busy post office in Pembroke Pines near Fort Lauderdale. SWAT teams and dozens of officers captured Wonder after a manhunt that involved Blackhawk helicopters and over 400 officers across South Florida. Pettit, 52, was shot Tuesday morning in a post office parking lot while with his 12 year old daughter. Wonder is detained without incident and has not yet secured an attorney.

ER wait times rise as visits surge across the US
CDC findings show the average ER wait to see a physician grew from 38 minutes in 1997 to about 56 minutes in 2006, with some waits nearing an hour.
