Steele's Silver Bullets of Grafton saw their 142 game national record win streak end with a 29-23 loss to Bell Corp of Tampa in Detroit. The team rebounded from the losers bracket to win its 10th consecutive tournament title by defeating Bell Corp twice in the finals 41-20 and 42-32 for a 178 5 season record. Steele's had entered as the top ranked team, with Bell Corp fourth, and had beaten Stewart's of Pittsburgh 41-10 to reach the Detroit finals after a winless stretch earlier in the season against Bell Corp in Austin Texas.

Glen Leonard triumphed in Class AA with 7 percent, topping Marty Greene and Garry Clark. Dave Antezak won Class A and the No 7 pin shot, finishing 79 to beat Jarrod Sito by three. Tom Gaston defeated Elliot Supers in Class B after an 84 tie. Supers took the No 12 pin shot. The LCDGA heads to Dorson Park August 19 for the first round of the Class AAA Lorain County Championship, with final 18 holes at Lorain Country Club.
