Different Plays, Same Contract Clash in Las Vegas Bridge Match
In a Las Vegas match between Italy's Blue Team and the Dallas Aces two tables reached four hearts. At table one Avarelli Belladonna faced a club lead and spade continuation, allowing Belladonna to discard on diamonds for a 620 record. At table two Garozzo Forquet bid similarly but trick three misfired as Forquet overtook the queen and Garozzo ruffed, sending the American declarer to down two. Forquet deduced West held the doubleton K Q from the queen play.
