Refuse To Approve Two Board Bills
County Commissioner John E. Davidson joined Commissioner Oscar G. Dunn in refusing to approve payment of two private home board bills for feeble minded persons. One bill for 186 dollars covered care for three at July rate of two dollars daily. the other for 25 dollars covered care for one person. The bills were placed in private homes by Probate Judge H. H. Nye due to inability to place in state institutions, which are overcrowded. Davidson defers approval until assurance that all efforts are made to place them in state care. Dunn has consistently rejected the bills, noting annual county costs around 5008 dollars for such cases. The two bills were approved by Commissioner E ward DeChant. Davidson said he will raise the matter with Judge Nye.
