Ohio racketeering case adds ex FirstEnergy executives to suit
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost asks a Columbus judge to add former FirstEnergy CEO Chuck Jones former SVP Michael Dowling and Sam Randazzo ex chair of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio to the racketeering lawsuit over the 2019 tainted energy bill. The amended complaint seeks Randazzo’s $4.3 million payback and targets a $1 billion bailout and revenue guarantee for the company tied to two nuclear plants. FirstEnergy admitted wrongdoing in a deferred prosecution agreement as part of actions to curb criminal exposure and reform.
