Hepburn Waterfront Home Sold to NYC Architect

Katharine Hepburn's Old Saybrook home has been sold to Frank Sciame, a New York City architect and owner of Fu Sciame Construction. The 8,000-square-foot brick house on 2.3 acres overlooking Long Island Sound has nine bedrooms, eight bathrooms and five fireplaces. Hepburn died at the house on June 29, 2003, at age 96. The sale price was below the $12 million asking price after multiple reductions for cosmetic kitchen and bathroom work.
