Cottonseed protein eyed for human diets in study
UPI reports at Texas Woman’s University researchers study liquid cyclone processed cottonseed protein for human nutrition. In a six month trial with 40 children, 30 percent protein diets boosted height in the experimental group and raised vitamin A levels, with good acceptance of LCP in foods. Funding from USDA and Texas groups supports ongoing work toward commercial use.
