Medina County Fair draws crowds despite chilly weather
Visitors flock to the 127th Medina County Fair on Medina's Smith Road as rain clears to a chilly start. Miss Honey Bee Queen Kathy Kyle will represent Medina County at the Ohio State Fair. Marines from Quantico helped with a flag raising before the harness racing program. A Cloverleaf youth, Phillip Minect, set a fair record with 308 consecutive swing cage trips. 44H club showcased bread baking with free samples as nine fair board directors were reelected. The week features 4-H and Future Farmers shows, a tractor-pulling contest, the Road Runner parade, Gene Holter’s wild animal show, and a fireworks finale.
