Two boys lose 1000 vegetables in garden flood
In North Ridgeville Jack Standen reports his sons Jon nine and Jeff fourteen lost at least a thousand vegetable plants this year as a ditch overflows after rains. Neighbor Mrs. Richard Krek also lost most of her garden and her sump pump flooded. Water remained four days in her yard after the July 4 storm. Meanwhile Kentucky opens ten rest areas with buildings for travelers on the interstate system.
