Lorain August 5 Seventy two entries have been received for the National Tube tennis tournament the largest ever held in Lorain. This years entries exceed last year by eight with sixty four entered in the 1919 tourney. Pairings for preliminaries and first round matches have been made and games start this week. Notable players from Lorain and Elyria include H L Richardson and others such as McConike Curtis Fell A Heggie McGee Savage Scott Fisher Richardson Sargent Brown Bowen and Gamble.
Democrats from across Lorain County gathered for their annual outing at Glen's Beach east shore yesterday. Judge David L. Rockwell of Lorain presided as organizer, with local officials and party members enjoying a day of fellowship and auxiliary activities on the lakefront.

Mrs Kate Veltre underwent an operation at St Joseph's hospital and was recovering at home. Birth announced for Jesse Burge's child on August 1.
