North Ridgeville Levy Defeated in Tuesday Election
In Lorain County North Ridgeville voters rejected a 10 mill 1.5 million permanent levy 1351 to 1992 while Keystone passed none of its four millage requests. Medina County Buckeye Local district approved a 1.132 to 1.053 margin. A statewide trend saw only seven of 29 levies approved and two bond issues defeated.

Thunderstorm wakes city with heavy rain and minor damage
A morning thunderstorm dumped six tenths of an inch of rain in 90 minutes and caused scattered outages in Elyria Lorain and surrounding areas. No major damage reported though transformers were damaged in several towns and a hangar wall collapsed at Midwest Air Service landing without injuries.
