Oberlin Aug 4 Mrs J W Weddell received a radio message Saturday night from her son Laurens on the high seas informing that he was on his way home and would arrive in New York Sunday. He is the last of three sons to return from the war zone.
Greenwich A C defeated Oberlin A C 14 to 0 on Sunday afternoon in Greenwich. Freidley and Milsby allowed just two hits while Greenwich collected twenty. Thomes and Hawkins each had four hits and Thomes stole four bases.
Oberlin August 4 Rev Sanderson at Second Congregational Church urged democracy in politics economics and society. He argued God made all humanity in His image and called the church to act on social issues or risk losing relevance to the modern world. He framed Jesus as supporting democracy across life.
Oberlin Aug 4 Funeral services will be held at four o clock Tuesday afternoon for Mrs Henry Wilson 70 of 224 West College Street who died Saturday after a three day illness Burial will be at West Lawn cemetery She is the widow of the late Dr Henry Wilson who practiced in this city for twelve years Two children Herrick Wilson and Mrs F M Harvey of Syracuse NY survive.
