Elyria Man Wounded by Police After Early Morning Disturbance
Elyria police say Darnell Delaney, 37, of Elyria, was shot by an unidentified officer during a disturbance on East Avenue around 3 a.m. He had a firearm recovered at the scene and was transported by LifeCare to UH Elyria Medical Center and then flown to UH Cleveland. Delaney underwent surgery Monday morning as Lorain County investigators probe the incident.
