Conviction Reversed in 11 Ohio Family Slayings

Kutler Charged With Beating Boy to Death and Fire Attempt

Prosecutor told an eight eight jurors that Dr. Stuart Kutler killed his girlfriend’s eight year old son Arthur, beat him with a belt, attempted to burn the body in a fireplace, then moved the body in his car to an undisclosed location. Noske later altered her story and Kutler denies the charges, with the trial moved to Cincinnati for an impartial panel.

Bomb blasts damage two Manhattan offices in midtown

Bombs exploded at the Christian Science Building on Madison Avenue and at the Mobil Oil offices on East 42nd Street, injuring at least two. County inmates threaten Lorain jail as overcrowding grows

Alfred Lunt Dies at Northwestern Memorial Hospital

Actor Alfred Lunt of the famed Lunt Fontanne stage duo died at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He was 4? years old, admitted July 2 and underwent bladder surgery the next day. Private services are planned Friday at 2:30 p.m. CST near Genesee Depot Wisconsin with family only. The couple’s legacy includes the Globe Theater renamed Lunt Fontanne in 1958 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom award in 1964.
