CLEVELAND The appointment of William E Leavers as superintendent of stations for the Nickel Plate Road with headquarters in Cleveland effective August 1 was announced by H P Thinnes general manager. Leavers formerly trained master of the St Laws Division at Charleston TA will succeed Joseph T Osborn as manager of Nickel Plate s new TO FC Operations Department. He joined Nickel Plate in 1936 as a clerk in the Buffalo office and advanced through roles including chief clerk agent at Enen Pa assistant trainmaster and general yard master at Conneaut Ohio before becoming trainmaster at Charleston on February 1 1961.
