Sawyer Demands Open Reply to Charges in Ohio Primary
In Niles Charles Sawyer pressed Gov. Martin L. Davey to come out in the open and answer graft era charges as the primary contest heated. Sawyer blasted inditements against allies and asked why state payments on hot mix contracts were allowed, while vowing to press questions until the polls open next Tuesday. Davey campaigned on his record, attacking the CIO and opponents in Bucyrus and Tiffin, with stops planned in Upper Sandusky and other towns.
