Auto sales slip as GM leads July decline in U.S. market

July auto sales fell across most makers led by General Motors down 15.4 percent from a year earlier. Ford dropped 7.5 percent while Fiat Chrysler fell about 10 percent. Toyota and Lexus rose 3.6 percent. FCA showed mixed results with Alfa Romeo surging while Jeep and Dodge declined.
