Pope ends pilgrimage with speech in Mexico
Pope John Paul II closes an 11 day tour in Mexico guiding Zapotec followers and urging respect for Indians in the Americas. Despite Parkinsons symptoms the pope blessed two Zapotec martyrs, wrapped in incense and indigenous rites, and urged Catholics to remain faithful while calling for broader solidarity with the needy.
