Armstrong Suffers Cuts In Training
NEW YORK Aug 2 Training camp cuts suffered by Henry Armstrong increased uncertainty about his bid to lift Lou Ambers lightweight title a week from tomorrow night at the Polo Grounds. Armstrong, holder of feather and welter crowns, was cut on the right cheek and lower lip by sparring partners. Ambers, who won the light title in 1936, is a puncher with rapid uppercuts, and bettors now see Armstrong as more vulnerable.
