Sergei Nemtsanov defected athlete in Montreal

The 17 year old Soviet diver Sergei Nemtsanov defected during Olympic competition in Montreal. The Soviet Union backed by a renewed "Sergei come home" campaign and a cable from his 88 year old grandmother to Canada. Union rejects Lorain telephone pact offer
