Vegas comic George Kirby among nine nabbed in drug raid
Las Vegas comedian George Kirby, 52, alleged to be among nine arrested in a narcotics sweep by Las Vegas police and the DEA. Agents seized drugs valued at $500,000 including two pounds of cocaine and a pound and a half of heroin, plus paraphernalia. Kirby and Mary Clay were charged with selling heroin to a federal undercover agent.

Boulder Forces Rio Slum Evacuation Near 10000-Ton Rock

Boy Killed as Car Rams Lake Orion School Bus
A car struck a small school bus broadside in Lake Orion Michigan killing a 12 year old boy and injuring 12 other children. Open bottles of booze and beer were found in the car. Three men were taken to Oakland County jail as warrants were sought. Two of the 12 injured are in critical condition.

Police seek robber's killer to tell him it's all right
In Dallas a customer shot and killed a robbery suspect after he demanded money and rifled the cash drawer. Police ruled the shooting justifiable homicide. The robber, identified as Clarence Toussaint, 23, fled before dying at the scene.
