He noted Germany’s lull due to home-front neglect and urged civilian self care, emergency nursing, and hospital readiness. Landlords to Register Rented Homes Under Federal Rules
Washington April 3 landlords must register all rented homes and apartments in areas under rent ceilings. The Office of Price Administration announced the regulation after designating communities with over two thirds of population under control. Local rent administrators will handle registrations for houses apartments trailers and other rented quarters. Hotels and rooming houses will follow. Provisions limit evictions while rents are paid and allow petitions for rent adjustments after major capital improvements or service changes.
