Ohio utility law reform nears completion in Columbus
A conference committee approved a package altering Ohio s 60 year old utility law after six long meetings. The bill aims to give homeowners more input in commission decisions and is not expected to cut utility costs. In a separate action the House sent to the governor a pay raise bill for certain legislative leaders, increasing several leadership salaries.

Soliah may face new charges over Hearst harboring link
Steven Soliah, acquitted in the Symbionese Liberation Army bank robbery, may be charged again with harboring his underground girlfriend Patricia Hearst. Emily Toback, 26, who testified she was in San Francisco the robbery day, may face a perjury charge after records show she was visiting Folsom Prison. The trial jurors previously acquitted Soliah of the bank holdup in April 1975, which left authorities weighing a new harboring charge.
