Soldier’s mourners gather in Cincinnati ballpark
About 10,000 people paid respects to Staff Sgt. Matt Maupin at a weekend visitation near Cincinnati. Army Chaplain Dale Ellens called Maupin’s death a transition to a new life as dignitaries, family, and military reps filled the lower stadium seating. Retired Lt. Gen. James Campbell lauded Maupin as “the all American kid” at the service.
