GLIDE Receives Space Tech Hall of Fame Honor
The Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise joins the 2005 Space Technology Hall of Fame for aiding the Innervne diagnostic scope project. Initiated in 1989 by Micro-Medical Devices, the needle sized scope enables in office arthroscopic viewing, reducing surgeries nationwide. GLIDE assisted in forming Clear Image Technology to design and market the scope. Don Knechtges of GLIDE notes the device allows a smaller fiberscope while preserving a clear image.

Jim Trakas argues the change would weaken Ohio’s influence in selecting nominees, while supporters cite consistency and reduced bad-weather campaigning concerns. The bill revises provisional ballot counting and requires presidential recounts before Electoral College voting.
