In Elyria, 35-year-old David Bodecker of North Ridgeville told Common Pleas Court judge Edward Zaleski he was pressured into an Alford plea on charges of child endangering and two counts of felonious assault stemming from a February 2008 incident with his six month old daughter. New lawyer Kenneth Lioux says medical records should be reviewed independently and that the case hadn’t been fully investigated. Bodecker previously faced a prison term for aggravated child abuse and could face up to 10 years if the plea is rejected. the hearing was continued to June 14 to hear Grunda's testimony about the plea decision.
