Elyria High baseball heads to Cleveland Heights
Elyria High travels to Cleveland Heights this afternoon with a revamped infield. Burley, Gebhardt, Holbrook, and Miko start across the infield, Miko moving from catcher to first. Battery is K Smith and Brown. Brown backs Miko at first base. Heights offense struggles as J Smith, Griffiths and Maddock or Kovylak in outfield face Elyria starter. An ineligibility rule shifts Maddock or Kovylak to right field. Regulars beat rookies 5 innings in a late game. Gebhardt sustains a bad spike while fielding.
