Retired Chrysler manager Clifford St Pierre and his wife invested 200000 in GM notes with 7.2 percent yield and 14,000 yearly payout. They fear loss if a debt-for-equity swap materializes as Fidelity and John Hancock led talks with GM to cut debt and seek federal aid. Unsecured notes now trade around 9 cents on the dollar from 90 a year earlier.
