Defeats fuel temperate progress in Wellington address

Rev Newton Moore told Wellington and Brighton groups that temporary defeats may slow temperance but pave the way for victory. He spoke on nations nuts cracked and uncracked, cited prohibition and woman suffrage, urged voters, and noted war and law violations as uncracked issues. David Ingalls, gubernatorial candidate, spoke on businesslike state governance and tax cuts. The annual Masonic inspection drew hundreds, with a later Eastern Star dinner for 172 guests. A musical program by Oberlin quartet and church notices closed the report.
