Goodwheel seeks donated vans to aid transit program
Goodwill's Goodwheel program needs better wheels to serve the elderly and handi capped. It currently uses a 2000 Mercury Sable and a 1999 Ford Escape after two high top vans died. Transit coordinator Jack Arbogast says they have 100 to 150 trips weekly and seek donated vehicles or funds to replace the engine in one of the vans donated by Lorain County Transit in October 2010. The two vans have more than 200 000 miles and one was cannibalized to keep the other running.
