Electro Alloys Co pioneers heat and corrosion resistant castings
Electro Alloys Co of Elyria produces Thermalray heat and corrosion resisting castings to serve national markets. The firm, formed in 1919, grew from a single plant into a multi-building operation with a 500 000 dollar authorized capital and a 60-strong workforce. Thermalray parts power high temperature equipment from furnaces to chemical plants, with X-ray inspection, a metallurgical lab, and wide distribution from textile to steel firms including United States Steel, General Motors, Chrysler, and others. The plant sits near Elyria on a main rail line with strong safety and insurance programs and a recent 204 percent output rise in six years.
