Ohio Senate approves energy bill moving to governor
The Ohio Senate unanimously sent a major electric power policy bill to Gov. Ted Strickland for signing. It blends regulated rates with a slow shift to market purchases, aims for 12.5 percent renewable energy by 2025, and retains a cap if bills rise more than 3 percent. The plan targets completion of regulated plans by year end for most customers.
