Fourteen year old Homer Teal survived a 13,300 volt basement accident at Highland Heights gym under construction in Newport Kentucky. He walked with crutches after a month in hospital with skin grafts and says he is thankful to be alive and plans to return to school.

Weldon Mead Kennedy, 29, of Union City California, was sentenced to two consecutive life prison terms after being convicted of sex slayings of Vicky Lynn Iselin, 14, and Mario Bill Oliver, 15.
