Browns draft class features Barnetts and Hoard in late rounds
Cleveland selected Michigan State safety Harlon Barnett in the fourth round and Syracuse end Rob Barnett in the fifth. Running back Hoard, a 4.53 sprinter, joined as a junior with 724 rushing yards and six TDs. Accorsi says Cleveland aimed to trade up for Darion Conner but balked at Cowboys demands. Conner went to Atlanta in the second round. The Browns project Hoard as a versatile back and Pleasant as a speed rusher to weigh 260 pounds. The draft resumes after two preseason showings, with Barnett expected to make an immediate impact as a forceful tackler.
