Late news bulletins report ship disaster deaths
Athens April 23 belated reports say twenty crew members of a 23 man Italian tanker Friderico Carolo drowned after boilers exploded and the ship sank in three minutes between Cephallenia and Zante islands off southern Greece. The 3,000 ton vessel was en route from Fiume to Novorossiysk on the Black Sea.

Plane in which Prince of Wales rode crashes in Cairo
An airplane carrying two occupants crashed at Heliopolis after taking off for Khartoum on the return trip from Cairo to Khartoum after delivering the Prince of Wales. The exact number aboard was not immediately known. Both occupants were killed in the crash.
